Doesn't seem like much of an email, but getting a message like this just makes me all gooey. Wow, my former students actually *remember* me!
In our class, we learned how to divide a (perspective image of a) square into three (perspectively) equal pieces -- to draw something like this Rubik's cube in 3-point perspective. Does the drawing technique we learned in class actually work? Watch this video to see whether it's possible to make a realistic 2-d image of a 3-d shape. (Hint: the viewing location matters!)
